Megan got a rock off the road when we were out Trick-or-Treating.

It was practically as good as the candy!

Happy Halloween! We had a great evening tonight. Megan the Monkey and Daniel the Sweet Pea got dressed up and we went Trick-or-Treating in our neighborhood. We then came back to our house and handed out candy all night long. We had about 75-80 kids come by. Maybe more...Then we ate my graveyard cake, it was yummy. We had a great Halloween and we hope that all of you did as well. Now it's time to get ready for Thanksgiving.

Carving Pumpkins - October 2007

So here we are carving pumpkins. Steen carved three and I carved one. Megan helped a little bit and of course Daniel just watched us. Megan thought it was pretty cool to cut designs into the pumpkins. She thought my pumpkin was nice and Steens were mean. Megan even sampled raw pumpkin from the garbage bowl and she liked it. We had to stop her from eating it! We'll take pics with our pumpkins in the daylight and post them soon. Happy Halloween everyone!!

Handsome Devil - October 2007

So here's a cute pic of the Big D. Since making my resolution to take more pics of him, I have been doing better. Still not as good as I was with Megan, but that's ok.

Pumpkin Patch - October 2007

Moments before the bite!

On Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch and picked out our pumpkins. At first we had a great time sorting through all the pumpkins and deciding which ones we wanted to take. Then Megan found a little chicken pin. She was looking at the chickens and talking to them when all of a sudden a chicken pecked her finger through the chicken wire. Her finger started to bleed and she of course flipped out about that and now she thinks that all chickens are mean. Besides the chicken incident, we had a fun time! We'll be carving our pumpkins in the next few days.

Our visit to The Stephens - September 2007

Megan & Abbie - Little Best Friends Forever



In late September we took a trip up to Shelton, WA to visit our friends, The Stephens.

We went for a really neat hike in the Olympic National forsest.

We were all so proud of the girls. They walked for 1.5 miles of the 2 mile hike.

First Food! - September 2007

Daniel ate some rice cereal for the first time in early September. At first he didn't know what to think of it, but after a few attempts he got the hang of it.

Labor Day Weekend - September 2007

For Labor Day weekend we hosted a BBQ and had some of our neighbors over then we went to Lewisville Park and went on a little hike up the Lewis River. Megan of course couldn't keep her little toes out of the water.

Car Accident - August 2007

On Wednesday the 29th the kids and I were driving back to the very same beach we had been at over the weekend, but I didn't quite make it there! I got into a 4 car accident and totaled the Mazda. Luckily it was not my fault and we all walked away feeling pretty darn lucky. Steen was able to leave work and come to our rescue. Farewell to our beloved Mazda.

Cape Disapointment, WA - August 2007

Our trip to the beach was so much fun. Megan has been to the beach before, but when she was much younger. The weather held out just long enough to spend some time playing in the sand. We also went up and saw two lighthouses. They were pretty.

Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge - August 2007

We live a few minutes from the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge so one night after Steen got home from work we decided to hike one of the many trails. We saw lots of birds and ducks and enjoyed being outside together as a family.

Monkeying Around - August 2007

Moe the monkey and Daniel love to wrestle each other. Steen's been

teaching Daniel some moves, but Moe always seems to win!

The Oregon Zoo - August 2007

Megan finally took her first trip to The Oregon Zoo this month! She had such a great time. She loved looking at the penguins and kept saying "Happy Feet, Happy Feet". She also thought that the elephants were pretty cool too!

Clark County Fair - August 2007

We decided to take the kids to the fair this year. We started off having a great time, that is until a COW scared the living daylights out of Megan. A cow looked straight at her and moo'd really loud. Boy oh boy, she about pee'd her pants. After about 20 minutes of crying we finally got her to calm down enough to proceed with looking at the other animals and exibits. She only wanted to see animals that were smaller than her even then she was a bit timid. Maybe next year we will have a better experience. Dispite Megan's fear of large animals, we had a great time. We even ate an elephant ear. Yummy!

I feel like I haven't taken nearly half as many pictures of Daniel as I did with Megan. I am trying to do better...

Ready for a Walk? August 2007

Almost every morning we try to go for a walk in the neighborhood. It's fun and the kids like to get out.

My Mom gave me a party at her house for my birthday. We had lots of fun and lots of yummy birthday cake!

Happy 17th Birthday Tanner! July 2007

We had a birthday party for Tanner at my house. It was lots of fun and Megan and Tanner had a little fun of there own. Is anyone ready for a game of football??

Tilling the Backyard - July 2007

One hot Saturday in July Steen and his friend Aaron decided to till the backyard. We rented a huge tiller and got a few truck yards of dirt and got to work. Later that week we planted our grass and it was the perfect week to do it. It was in the 70's and it was muggy. Perfect formula for getting grass to grow. A few weeks later we had green lush grass!

Sprinkler Time at Nana's House - July 2007

It was hot and our backyard was just mud so we packed up our suits and headed for Nana's house. We set up the little sprinkler in the backyard and had lots of fun. Daniel got so pooped out from watching Megan that he decided to take a cat nap.

Front Yard - June 2007

I must say Steen did a very nice job with the front yard. I just did what he told me to do. I am just happy to have grass and some flowers. We still have lots of work ahead of us, but this is a great start. Now it's off to the back yard...

Already doing YARD WORK? - June 2007

So we've just started unpacking and Steen's already out in the yard. He's a little obsessed, but I'll tell you...we have the best looking yard on the block and we haven't even lived here for a week!

Moving Day - June 2007

On June 14th we packed up the Budget truck and left Moscow. We were sad to leave our friends and actually sad to leave Moscow, but we are looking forward to our new future in Vancouver. We stopped at a hotel half way along the way to break up the trip home.
