Memorial Day at the beach!

Steen's been out of town on business for the last three weeks so we decided to celebrate his arrival home by spending some family time on the beach yesterday! We had a great time and the kids and I are so glad to have our Daddy home. The weather was perfect and we all had a great time playing in the sand and the waves.

The BIG TWO!

Natalie had her birthday last Sunday! Truthfully she had a rather rough day, so we tried to do birthday things when she was in a good mood. We can't believe that our baby is two now. Time flies. We are so blessed to have this sweet girl in our family. We love our Natalie.

Daniel gave Natalie a "bubble generator" for her birthday. She loves it!
Taking a dip in the frosting.
Natalie obviously enjoyed her cake and ice cream. I couldn't believe the mess she made. What a birthday!

End of the season for Daniel

Last week Daniel finished his very first season of soccer! He had a lot of fun and learned a lot about the sport. Sometimes Daniel was on fire and was a great player and other times he just ran around the field like a confused chicken! We are proud of Daniel and are looking forward to many more seasons of soccer for this little guy!

Ready for the game!
A shot from behind. I loved how they had their names on their jerseys this season. So cute!

Kindergarden Graduation

Megan had her kindergarden graduation about two weeks ago. Her class had a little singing and award program that they presented to the parents. It was adorable. Megan had a great kindergarden experience and is ready to face 1st grade in the fall! Way to go Megan!

Visitors!

We had some super fun visitors this past week. Katie and Rose came from cold and rainy Washington. We did some swimming in the pool, took a few trips to the beach, did way too much shopping and we all had a great time being together. Here's a few pics from the week.

We went to the state park on Thursday. It was an adventurous visit.

Here's another shot of the gator. He was hungry for some red heads!
Daniel and Megan chilling in their floaties on the beach.
Another trip to the beach on Saturday.
Rose loved everything about the beach. She couldn't get enough of it!
How cute! Little Jensen cousins.
Smelling the flowers on our Sunday walk.
We had to take one last look at the beach before the girls went to the airport. It was a picture perfect day!
Natalie and Rose giving each other a sweet goodbye hug!
Thanks for coming to Florida Katie and Rose. We love having visitors and had a great time with you!

Soccer's done for Megan!

Megan successfully finished up her third season of soccer this last weekend. She had the best season yet and of course really enjoyed having Steen as her coach. We are looking forward to playing again in the fall. Good job Megan!

All ready for her last game!

Megan loves trophy time and also got an award for being the most aggressive player on her team. Way to go Megan!

Happy 6th Birthday Megan!

On May 11th Megan turned 6 years old! She had a great day. We brought her ice cream and juice boxes to celebrate at school. We went out to dinner at Margarettaville with a beautiful water front view, we walked on the peir, and then went to Bippy's for some birthday frozen yogurt. We were all so stuffed from earlier so we ended up having birthday cake the next day after dinner! What a fun day we all had and it was extra special because we had some special birthday visitors come all the way from WA to spend the week with us!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the special Mom's and Grandma's in our lives. We love and appreciate all that you have done for us!
We had a great Mother's Day at the Jensen house. Steen and the kids spoiled me with a big breakfast, plants and flowers for the yard, and lots of cards and hugs & kisses. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family!

Here I am with the kids all dressed up for church.
Next year will be an even busier Mother's Day with another one being added to the bunch this fall...
That's right, a big surprise to all of us. Baby #4 due November 17th!

Soccer

The kids are still playing soccer and are having a great season. They both only have two games left. I realized I haven't been taking very many pictures of them playing this season. So I've made a goal to bring my camera to their last few games and hopefully get a few pics.

Here's Daniel about to start a game last week. He said his sun glasses would help him run faster...

Field Day!

On Thursday Megan's school had field day. It was an exciting day for Megan! She participated in lots of events and did really well! Who knew she was so good at sack racing and the water balloon toss?

Here she is doing the noodle race.
Big smiles from the big Kindergartner!
Megan loves her teacher and her class mates.

Megan's class even won the Kindergarten tug-of-war! They are a strong bunch!

Cinco De Mayo

At school Megan learned about how people in Mexico have parades and dress up for the Cinco De Mayo holiday festivities. After school the kids put on a little parade in the family room for me. They marched in circles and were chanting, "Cha Cha Cha". It was pretty cute!

Black Beans

Natalie LOVES black beans. Whenever we have tacos or enchiladas or anything Mexican we make lots of beans knowing that Natalie will always be begging for more. The other night we made tacos and guess who couldn't get enough? By the time dinner was over her tray, bib, hands, face, and parts of her hair had been covered with a lovely black bean paste. Needless to say this girl got a warm bubble bath right after dinner. We love our little chow hound Natalie!

I'm ready for a bath Mom!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We had a nice relaxing day on Easter Sunday. The kids got two packages in the mail as well as a visit from the Easter bunny. Everyone was happy!

Here's Natalie in the midst of her Easter morning discoveries.
Megan and Daniel were happy with their baskets.
We went to an Easter morning brunch and egg hunt at our friends house. I only got this pic of Megan as the others wouldn't stop for a pic. It was a pretty action packed egg hunt! We had lots of fun.
We had a wonderful Easter and are truly grateful for our risen Savior!
