3 months old

Today Natalie turned 3 months old. We just can't believe how fast she is growing. She has the sweetest smile and is such an easy going little girl. She discovered her hands a week or so ago and likes to swing them all over and she's even been caught sucking her thumb a few times. We just love our tall and skinny Natalie and are so glad she is in our family!

Bonneville Locks & Dam

On Thursday we went to the Bonneville Locks & Dam. We had been promising the kids that we would take them during the fish run and boy were the fish running! We saw some huge ones. It was probably the most fish we've ever seen at the locks. And of course no trip to Bonneville is complete without a cone from this little burger joint in Cascade Locks. We went up over the Bridge of the Gods and we all got cones. They were huge and way delicious!

Steen with Megan & Daniel up on the dam.
Daniel loved looking at all the big fish and kept saying WOW!
Megan and Daniel could have watched the fish all day long! Now we just need one of the Billett or Jensen men to catch one for us. Steen's mouth was watering the whole time!
Here's Mommy and the girls!
Here is Steen with our huge cones. These were mediums - what would the larges have been like? Even the kiddie cones were big but oh soooo good!

Boating with the Bellemes

On Tuesday we had a super fun day boating on Cresup Bay (Lake Merwin) with the Bellemes. Joe, Janet and little Mimi are camping on the bay all this week so we went up and spent the day with them on the lake. The weather was perfect and it was definitely a great day spent with our best friends, The Bellemes!

The second we pulled into camp the kids were playing in the dirt and hunting for bugs.
Megan and Daniel had a blast floating out on the water as the adults swam around them!
Here is crazy Joe out on the tube. The kids were amazed at how wild he was out there!

Mommy and little Natalie enjoying the sunshine.

Here's Steen out on the tube. He had lots of fun.

Natalie had a great time out on the boat. She didn't like her life jacket too much, but that's ok.

Here's Janet and Megan out on the tube. Megan loved it! Here is Joe and Steen cliff jumping. Those boys are crazy...

A Yummy Harvest

At 5:30 am on Saturday morning Steen and my brother Tommy headed up to Mt. St. Helens to go on a hike at Johnston Ridge. As you can see in the background of the pic below it was pretty foggy so the boys didn't get to see much of the mountain or crator. They still had fun and took some nice pics. They also picked a large ziplock bag full of huckleberries! We enjoyed the harvest by making huckleberry pancakes for dinner and then I made a syrup that we put over ice cream that night. Boy do we love our northwest huckleberries!
On Saturday afternoon we headed over to Steen's Mom's house to water the yard and harvest some veggies from her garden. They are in Utah so we are taking care of the yard while they are gone. Her yard is bursting with color so I had to take a few pics of the kids in front of the lovely flowers.
Megan and Daniel had a lot of fun playing in Far Mor's jungle!
Then we kicked the soccer ball around her yard and got all our wiggles out!
When we got home Steen cooked up 8 ears of corn. I think he ate 6.5 of them. He loves fresh corn on the cob! And I love the bouquet of flowers that I picked. Aren't they beautiful.
And here's our Sunday shot of Megan's corn she planted last week in Sunbeams. It's grown about an inch this week and boy is she proud of that! She insisted that I put this pic on our blog!

Clark County Fair

Today we went to Clark County Fair. It was so much fun! We saw lots of animals, some cool 4-H displays, the dock dogs, and even went on some rides. Megan had a great time and could have stayed there all day. Daniel on the other hand - he was kind of scared of just about everything that was big or that made noise. Hopefully he will loosen up next year for our trip to the fair.

This sheep was so pretty and looked so sweet. I just had to take a pic of her!
Mommy and kids in front of the Llamas. I think these were just about the only large animals that Daniel liked.
No trip to the fair is complete without a pony ride. This year Megan rode Tiki.
Here's another pic of Megan - this time riding on the bouncy car ride. And guess which car she decided to ride in...#4, her favorite number!

Daddy and Megan rode the roller coaster together and had a blast. I'm glad that Steen now has a partner to go on rides with. That will be fun for our many future trips to Disneyworld.

Sunday Fun!

Before church on Sunday everyone was happy and looking cute so Steen took a pic of me with the kids. After church we took some naps then went to Grandma Billetts for a delicious pot roast dinner. We had another great Sunday spending time with our family! We are trying to see everyone lots before we move!

Mommy and kids + Megan's baby

Natalie - she's about 2.5 months now.
In Sunbeams Megan learned about food and clothing. She planted some corn seeds - a little late in the season, but we'll see what we can do! She's excited to see her corn plant grow.

M's new skirt

I've been in the mood to sew the last few days and have been completing lots of unfinished projects. I found a tutorial for THIS skirt a few weeks ago and have wanted to make it for the little red head ever since I found it. This morning Megan and I went out to my fabric stash and found this Amy Butler fabric and then we got-a-sewing. I really like the way it turned out. I think I may even make Natalie a matching skirt with my left over fabric.

Good times...

We had a really great weekend. On Friday night Katie, Megan and Natalie went up into the gorge and attended a mother-daughter camp out for a few hours. It was nice to get away and enjoy nature and off course have a little girl time.
- - - -
Megan had a blast running around camp and playing with her friends!

While the girls were off Steen and Daniel hung out with Uncle Anton and played the Wii. On Saturday morning Steen woke up with a sore arm. They must have had lots of fun! On Saturday morning we started off the day with a trip to the farmers market. Megan got me some flowers and Steen bought himself lots of Marionberries. They are so delicious - especially on vanilla ice cream. We've been a little spoiled this weekend in the dessert department!

Mommy and the kiddos walking back from the market with all our goods.

Sunday we had a wonderful day. We attended the baby blessing of my cousin Brian's baby, Aelizia. After church we had a really nice family luncheon at Dan and Bev's house. We love getting together with the Jensen clan!

Natalie and her new little cousin Aelizia. They are about 4.5 weeks apart.

Daniel ate an ice cream sandwich at Dan & Bev's and got a little messy! I had to take a pic of him. He even got messier after this pic was taken.
