Happy New Year 2012!

Happy New Year from most of the Jensen crew!
And thanks for the cute dresses Grandpa Ivan and Terry! The girls looked so cute in them!

Christmas Baby!

Here's Kyle on Christmas day. 6 weeks old - he's growing up too fast! We just love this little guy. He's the most perfect baby ever!

White Christmas

After church we drove along the beach and decided to take a pic of the kids on the beach. This is our version of a "White Christmas!"
Merry Christmas from sunny Florida!

All ready for church

After present opening we had to hurry and get ready for church. The kids looked so adorable in their matching outfits. Here are a few pics I got before church.

They were all so intreged with each others presents. It was quite sweet.

Decorating Cookies

On December 22nd we woke up to Phil our elf giving us the hint that he wanted us to bake some sugar cookies and gingerbread men. It just so happens that I was planning on doing it anyways that day. We had the missionaries over and decorated cookies and had a great time making treat plates for a church activity we were attending that night.

Concert Time!

Each of the kids had school Christmas concerts this December. Daniel had his during the day with is Pre-K class. They sang a few songs and then showed us some projects they made for the holidays. It's always fun to go to school and see what the kids have been working on. Daniel looked so handsome that I had to get a pic of him before school.
Megan's concert was in the evening and she performed with the whole first and second grade classes. They were a sight to be seen and sang some very nice holiday songs. Megan looked so cute up there and did a great job singing for us. We are proud of her for sure!

Christmas Parade

We went over to Pier Park and watched the PCB Christmas parade in mid-December. It was actually a little chilly out so it was fun to bundle everyone up and go watch the parade with our friends the Dormans. We had a nice evening and the kids enjoyed collecting the candy and goodies that were thrown from the floats.

Phil our Elf on the Shelf

This year an elf appeared at our house. He is an Elf of the Shelf. Megan named him Phil (short for Philippines) in memory of Nana and Opa! Phil has been gracing us with is presence for the past few weeks. We love the fact the he reports to Santa each night about our good and bad behaviors. Over the weekend Phil brought us a letter from Santa. Nothing serves as a great reminder to be on the "nice" list better than a letter from Santa himself! Over the next few weeks I'll post some pics of our silly little elf Phil. He can be a rascal sometimes!

Random shots from family pic night

While we were out at Alys and Rosemary Beach taking family pics last week we grabbed a few pics of the scenery and (crazy kids) around us!

The sunsets are always amazing.

Christmas Lights

On Saturday Megan and Steen put up lights on our three palm trees and several bushes out front. It looks really nice. And Megan sure was a big helper to Daddy!

Decorating the tree!

We had a nice time over the weekend decorating the tree and the house. It's starting to feel like Christmas around here and we love it! Far More got each of the kids a new ornament for the tree. It was nice to have lots of help decorating this year!

Trick or Treat!

We had a nice Halloween! Steen took the kids around the neighborhood with some friends and I sat on the porch and handed out lots of candy. The night was a success and the kids of course got way too much candy!!

Carving Pumpkins

On Saturday night the kids and Steen carved some pumpkins. It was was the first time since moving to FL that we carved pumpkins. They are kind of hard to find around here and are pretty spendy. Each of the kids got to design there own pumpkin. It was fun to see how they all turned out!

Megan and Daniel with Daniel's pumpkin. He wanted his to be scary!
Natalie wanted her pumpkin to look like a pirate. And here she is posing with her classic pirate face!
Megan wanted hers to be a vampire with eyebrows. And she wanted Steen to carve it on the kind of yucky side of the pumpkin. We had a great time and the kids were all happy with the finished products!

Happy 4th of July!

On Monday we had a really nice 4th. We had a fun BBQ and pool party with several friends. We were going to go down to the beach to watch and do fireworks, but at the last minute we decided to just do fireworks at the house with some other friends. It worked out great cause Natalie and another baby didn't really like all the loud noises and the beach would have been 10 times worse than our little show. Steen and I were talking and we just can't believe that it's the 4th already. Where has this year gone? We hope all of you had a great holiday spent with your family and friends. And as the kids we're saying last night, Happy Birthday America!

4th of July Weekend

We had a very busy and very fun 4th of July weekend. We started off the festivities at the Navy base which included snow cones, bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, and a great fireworks display. We attended two other BBQ's and also kept busy with yard and house projects.
