Graduates!

After living in Florida for almost two years we finally were able to get the kids into swim lessons on the Navy base! They learned a lot, made some new friends, and had a great experience. We are proud of Megan and Daniel and are excited to get them enrolled for another session soon.

Econfina Creek

Last week Steen and Tanner went on a 4.5 hour kayaking trip down a section of Econfina Creek. They spent the day looking for and exploring around the different natural springs. They had lunch on one of the natural limestone banks and also did some swimming in the refreshing water! They had a great day and want to go back and do some more exploring soon.

Sunshine and a Birthday!

This week we have been very busy getting ready for Uncle Tanner to come! My brother Tanner moved in with us and we are excited to have him here. Since he arrived we have been spending lots of time at the beach and in our pool. Tanner really loves it here and says he can easily get used to living the Florida life! Wednesday was his birthday and we had a fun birthday dinner and party for him!

Daniel loves swimming with Tan in the pool.
Big lobster eyes!
Birthday dinner for Tanner! He requested that I make him crepes with chocolate pudding, strawberries, and whipped cream. It was super yummy!
Time for cake and ice cream!
At the end of everyday the kids crash at about 8pm

A visit from Grandpa Ivan

Steen's Dad was here over the weekend. We had a fun time with him and the kids were sure happy to have Grandpa to play with all the time. We kept busy. Here's a few things we did:

Megan had a soccer game on Saturday morning. Here's Daniel sporting his cute soccer shirt that Far Mor got him.
Here's Megan in action.
We swam in the pool nearly everyday and had lots of fun in the sun.
We also went to the beach of course. Here's Grandpa with the kids one night after dinner.
Here's the fam on Mother's Day. I wanted the kids to look extra special, so I made them matching outfits!
Another trip to the beach. Natalie always has fun in the sand.
Megan the sand Mermaid & Daniel the helper.
The kids love sitting in the sand and having the waves wash upon them!
We love visitors! Thanks for coming to see us Grandpa!

Pool Time

Yesterday afternoon the kids were begging and begging to go out in the pool. I wasn't really in the mood, but agreed that we could do it. We all suited up and ended up having a really fun afternoon. The water is finally getting warm enough to enjoy without feeling like you are swimming in freezing lake water. I put Natalie in for a dip and pulled her around in a floaty. She had a blast!!

Swimming Already?

We went out back to enjoy the sun today and have a snack. Of course dipping toes into the pool led to both bums getting soaked. I told Megan to get her suit on and she immediately ran up and got changed. The floaties came out and she enjoyed a dip in the pool for about an hour today. Brrr if you ask me. The water is about 71 degrees. I'm going to wait another few weeks before I take my first dip of the season!
