A Very Crazy Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We hope everyone had a great holiday! The Jensen family had a rather crazy Christmas!! Here's what we did:

Katie got one of her molars unexpectedly pulled on Wednesday and had a little bit of a rough time recovering from that. Still feeling a little rotten, on Friday just 10 minutes before our Christmas Eve dinner guests arrived Megan started vomiting. We got things all cleaned up and had her stay in her room during our dinner. After dinner when we were gathered in the living room to have a little Christmas program Natalie started vomiting. That was the start of a horrible and very memorable Christmas! We politely excused our guests and not long after they left Daniel started vomiting as well. For the next 12 hours we had all three children vomiting about every 30-40 minutes or so. That night we went through lots of bed sheets, blankets, and pj's! Then at about 5am on Christmas morning Katie started feeling sick. Needless to say we had a rather quiet and calm Christmas day that was not full of excitement and play. Steen was wonder Dad as he was our family doctor, cook, maid, and Christmas Elf for the day.

Now that we are feeling better all we can do is laugh about this past week. As parents you work so hard to make Christmas perfect in every way possible, but sometimes the unexpected happens and all you can do is except things for what they are! Here are some of the pictures we took showing the better side of our holiday!

For our Christmas Eve gift exchange, Megan got Daniel a new "Prince Eric" doll. He loves it!

Here's Megan with a very special present she received from Santa Clause on Christmas Eve. As we were putting Megan to bed at about 9pm we heard sirens outside. Steen went out to check things out and saw Santa sitting in a decorated boat being pulled around our neighborhood by some police cars. He came inside and got Megan and we went back out. Soon enough Santa stopped by our house and gave Megan and stocking full of goodies and this black bear. Megan could not believe her eyes and told Santa that her Christmas wish had some true. She was able to meet the real Santa from the North Pole! After we waved goodbye to Santa we all came inside and Megan was on cloud 9! She was the happiest she had been all night. Since then she has said to us about 25 times that her wish came true! Who would have thought...and she won't part with the bear that Santa gave her!

Kindergarten Christmas Fun!

On Monday Megan had a kindergarten Christmas concert. They sang 5 or 6 songs and sounded so cute! It was Megan's first concert and boy was she proud! In between the songs she would wave at us and give us big smiles. After the concert her class had a Christmas party. I was able to help out at the sugar cookie decorating station. We had lots of fun. Megan sure does love school, her classmates and her teacher!

A trip home

Last week the kids and I took a last minute surprise visit to Vancouver. It was crazy of me to travel across the country with three kids, but once we arrived in WA it was nothing but fun, food, lots of family time and of course too much shopping. It was great to see the family and be back in the rainy Pacific Northwest. Florida is great, but I still really love Vancouver. I am home sick again, but hopefully we'll get to go out soon again and this time I'll be sure to bring Steen!

We are just crazy busy trying to get ready for Christmas at the Jensen house. It's been a busy last month or so for us. More pics to come - sometime! Until then Merry Christmas to all!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! While many of you were sledding in the snow we enjoyed spending some time at the beach before the turkey went in the oven. We had a great time with the family and of course had some delicious food which made for a great Thanksgiving Day! We hope you had a wonderful holiday too!

18 Months!

Natalie is officially 18 months. We can't believe it! She is such a joy. We are lucky to have her in our family! We sure do love our Natalie!

Soccer Season - Over!

Saturday Megan had her last soccer game of the fall season. We had a good time this season and of course Megan loved having Steen and Tanner be her coaches. She also enjoyed making new friends and becoming a better soccer player this season. Megan has a lot of skills that she still needs to learn and become better at, but regardless she had a great time! In a few weeks we will have our end of the year party and awards. Megan is looking forward to getting another trophy!

Baseball Season - Over!

Last week the kids had there last baseball practice and small game. They have learned a lot over the last 6 weeks and have had a lot of fun being on the same team. We may have some future little baseball players on our hands. After the game the kids received balls, bats, gloves, and medals. They thought it was pretty awesome.

Thanksgiving School Play

Last week Megan had her Kindergarten class play. She was the cutest turkey that we've ever seen. We were able to see her class play, sing songs, and then have a turkey lunch with her in the cafeteria. We all had a wonderful time!

Happy Birthday Steen!

Yesterday (11/11) was Steen's 32nd birthday! He kept the 32 year streak alive by not having to work or go to school on his birthday! We had a wonderful day filled with lots of family time, good food, and birthday fun. And thanks to Tanner, Steen and I even got to sneak out on a date after we put the kids to bed.

We love the Fall!

Last Saturday while Steen was busy manning the "lost and found" booth at the Iron Man the kids and I decided to go to a local fall festival with some friends. We had so much fun!! It was a little chilly, but it made it feel like the fall weather that I miss at home. We went on a train ride, had a yummy bbq lunch & other yummy treats, and played lots of carnival games. The kids came home with lots of prizes, balloons, and even got there faces painted. We are definitely planning on going next year cause we had a blast!

Happy Halloween!

Last night we went trick-or-treating with some friends at Pier Park. It was a little crowded, but the kids had a great time going from shop to shop. It was fun to see every one's costumes and be out with friends!

A visit from Janet and Elyana

This past week we had some visitors come all the way from Washington to see us! Janet and her new baby Elyana came and boy did we have a great week together. We hadn't seen each other for about 18 months and lots has happened and changed since we last saw each other. It was a great visit and we definitely had TONS OF FUN!
