Natalie turned ONE on Saturday. We had a super busy and very fun filled day. After all of the soccer festivities we came home and enjoyed the afternoon in the pool. Then we ordered pizza and spent the rest of the night having fun with Natalie! We can't believe she's one now! She ate her cupcake in about 4 minutes and managed to pick up every last crumb on her tray. She had fun opening presents and finishing the night off taking a bubble bath. Happy Birthday Natalie!

Fishing Trip

Yesterday afternoon Steen and his co-workers chartered a boat and went deep sea fishing. They caught some nice ones and had lots of fun out in the ocean.

Megan's Birthday #2

On Tuesday Megan invited a few of her girlfriends over for a CUPCAKE party. We had lots of fun eating pizza, playing cupcake themed games, decorating lots of cupcakes, and opening presents. I made each of the girls matching aprons using cupcake themed fabric and they each got to take home a bakery box full of cupcakes they decorated. Everyone had fun and stuffed themselves full of cupcakes! Megan is so lucky to have such good friends here in Florida!

Megan's Birthday #1

On Monday evening we celebrated Megan's birthday so that Grandpa could participate before he left on Tuesday morning. We had taco salad for dinner (one of Megan's favorites), brownies & ice cream, and presents. It's hard to believe that Megan is already 5 years old!

A visit from Grandpa Ivan

Steen's Dad was here over the weekend. We had a fun time with him and the kids were sure happy to have Grandpa to play with all the time. We kept busy. Here's a few things we did:

We also went to the beach of course. Here's Grandpa with the kids one night after dinner.
Here's the fam on Mother's Day. I wanted the kids to look extra special, so I made them matching outfits!
Another trip to the beach. Natalie always has fun in the sand.
Megan the sand Mermaid & Daniel the helper.
The kids love sitting in the sand and having the waves wash upon them!
We love visitors! Thanks for coming to see us Grandpa!

Megan's Birthday Goal!

Megan had a soccer game tonight. All she wanted was to score a goal on her birthday. With a little bit of help from another player on the team - it happened! Our little soccer player couldn't be more happy! Her birthday wish came true.

So Sweet

Look at this cute little sleeping Natalie.
I can't believe she's going to be 1 in a few weeks!

A trip to Tallahassee

Yesterday Megan had her endocrinology appointment in Tallahassee so we decided to make a fun day trip out of it. After her appointment and lab work we drove downtown and saw the capitol building and drove through some really cool southern neighborhoods. The kids needed to get some wiggles out, so we just happened to find a really cool lake with a path around it. We quickly found out the the lake was surrounded with wildlife. We saw many varieties of ducks some even with little duckings, all sort of turtles, fish of all sizes and shapes, birds, and squirrels. The kids had a blast looking at all the animals and we got lots of wiggles out too! We had a really fun day.

Another lost tooth!

Last night at bedtime Megan lost another tooth! It was kind of funny that she did, cause we had just watched the new movie Tooth Fairy. She was sooo excited to have lost another tooth and was especially excited about getting a visit from the tooth fairy.
- - - - -
Here she is right before bed showing off her new smile!
All tucked in bed with her tooth pillow and a note for the tooth fairy.
I am happy to report that the fairy visited us last night. Megan woke up this morning and said, "The tooth fairy came and she gave me lots of cash!"

Pool Time

Yesterday afternoon the kids were begging and begging to go out in the pool. I wasn't really in the mood, but agreed that we could do it. We all suited up and ended up having a really fun afternoon. The water is finally getting warm enough to enjoy without feeling like you are swimming in freezing lake water. I put Natalie in for a dip and pulled her around in a floaty. She had a blast!!
