Day trip to Tallahassee

After a two and a half hour drive to Tallahassee Megan's doctor appointment lasted a whopping 15 minutes! Luckily we brought some bread for the ducks and a picnic lunch for ourselves and had a great time at this little lake we always go to when we are in town. And yes, we went on St. Patrick's Day hence the green shirts and hair bows!

The kids had a great time looking at all the ducks, turtles, fish, birds, squirrels, and dogs that we're at the lake. Natalie was really going wild for the ducks!

The kids had a wonderful time climbing the big trees too. We had to get our wiggles out before our boring drive home!

Play time

Last week was spring break. We had a fun break playing with friends, playing in the sunshine, staying up late and sleeping in! We also took a day trip to Tallahassee for Megan's trip to the Endocrinologist. Pics to come for that trip.

Here's Natalie in the playroom playing with the kitchen set. She already loves to cook!

Daniel's birthday is tomorrow, but we figured since it was spring break that we would get out his present of a soccer net that his grandparents gave him. The kids spent hours playing in the yard shooting goals.

During one of our play dates the girls got dressed up in swimming suits and were pretending they were laying in sun (Megan's bedroom lamp was the sun). I ended up letting them play in the sprinklers cause it was nice out. These girls are crazy! And you gotta love Natalie's hair!

Daniel the Soccer Star!

This big guy scored 6 goals at his last game. I think we have a soccer star in the making!

Disney World (1 of 5)

Earlier this week we were able to go down to Orlando and go to Magic Kingdom with Grandpa Ivan, Terry, and Terry's daughter Emily. We had a great time. We were at Magic Kingdom for 14 hours so as you can imagine we were pretty darn pooped out by the end of the day. Here's a few of our about 250 pics we took.

Let the Memories Begin! How appropriate!
The gang minus Emily who was taking our pic.
First thing we did was catch the tail end of a show with lots of characters, fireworks, singing and dancing. The kids thought it was pretty cool.
Daddy and Natalie outside of the Enchanted Tiki Room. How cute!
Here we are on The Magic Carpets of Aladdin ride.

Disney World (2 of 5)

We all loved the Jungle Cruise!!
Natalie was going nuts looking at all the animals.
Daniel and Megan with a Mommy and Baby Elephant behind them.
Watch out for super big gators!
Taking pics and looking at the rhino's in the water.
Daniel loved every minute of the "Pirate Tutorial" we saw. He didn't like the Pirates of the Caribbean ride so much. Too dark and scary he said. This was more his style!
Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me...

Disney World (3 of 5)

While waiting to meet Ariel and Prince Eric (we were in line for at least an hour +) Emily got us some popcorn. Natalie hogged the tub and really couldn't get enough of it! While waiting in line we also had some super delicious pineapple ice cream & juice floats. They were devine!
Almost ready for the big moment...
Lots of hugs were given.
Autographs and cute chatter between Megan and her favorite princess. Ariel was just the sweetest thing. She told the kids all about Sebastian & Flounder and she even told Megan she loved her red hair. Megan of course loved it!
How sweet!

Disney World (4 of 5)

Here we are outside of "It's a Small World"
Mom with Megan and Daniel on "It's a Small World". Daniel looks kind of scared in this picture. He didn't like the parts of rides where it was remotly dark.
While Megan was on Space Mountain we stood in line for an hour to meet the one and only BUZZ LIGHT YEAR!
Natalie modeling her 3D glasses for Mickey's PhilharMagic movie.

Disney World (5 of 5)

Megan was brave and went on Space Mountain with Daddy. (Notice that the rest of us chickens sat out!) When Steen said he was going to go on it again, Megan declined. She liked it, but didn't like how is was pretty much dark the entire time! Here we are waiting for Steen outside of the Space Mountain ride.
Megan and Daniel got captured by evil Zurg.
The Dinsey crew at sunset.
We loved the Electrical Parade! It was fun for the kids to see all the characters on the floats and they loved the lights and music too!
Crazy turtle!
The firework show was amazing. Megan especially loved it when Tinker Bell flew out of the castle. She said her wish came true.
We had a wonderful trip to Disney World with many more to come....
Thanks Ivan, Terry, and Emily!

Disney World

We just got back from a super fun trip to Disney World!!!
(Lots of pics to come!!)

Yummy!

This is dutch oven pineapple upside down cake. It was soooo yummy, especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the warm cake.
Steen taught the Boy Scouts at church a little lesson about dutch oven cooking. I off course had to test out the recipe ahead of time to make sure it was good enough for the scouts...and it was!

Daniel's 1st Soccer Game!

Daniel had his first soccer game on Thursday night. It was a blast! If you ask him, he'll tell you that he scored 5 GOALS when in all actuality he scored ONE! He had a great time and it sure is fun to watch all the three and four year old running in all directions on the field during the game! We are in for a fun season. Go DINOSAURS!!
