All Dressed Up for Church

I hope all of you had a great Christmas! The Jensens sure did! This year was different from other years for us. The weather prohibited us from doing things we normally would have done, but it was fine. It was nice to have a very white Christmas. I think we had a total of about 15" on the ground at one point, maybe more. It was beautiful to look at and play in, but not to drive in.
Church was cancelled last week, so today we had our Christmas program. It was wonderful. Megan and Daniel looked so cute all dressed up in new outfits. We were able to grab a few pics of the kids and still manage to make it to church early! Next year might be another story having to get three kiddos ready and photographed!!

What a little cutie!
Daddy Golden and baby Jensen - all ready to go home!
Thanks to my little sister - I am finally an Aunt, Steen is an Uncle, and my children now have a Cousin!

Jensen Charles Tawzer was born today, December 19th at about 10:30am. He weighed 7 lbs 13 oz and was 19.5 inches long.

From the sounds of it Emily had a fairly easy and quick delivery! Emily, Golden, and little baby Jensen are doing great!

More Snow!!

On Wednesday it snowed and snowed and snowed! We even got a little more today and there is still much more to come in the 7 day forecast. Hopefully we will have a white Christmas! This is unlike the Northwest, but we are loving it! The kids had fun sledding around the neighborhood. I guess we should have bought them snow pants this year, but we didn't think we were going to need them. Today we went to Target and they were just about sold out. I guess we learned our lesson for next year....always be prepared!

Fun in the snow!

It snowed!!

Yesterday we had our first batch of snow for the season. After church the kids went out a played for a little while. Daniel didn't know what to think and Megan thought it was just the best! She especially loved making snowballs and attempting to throw them at us!
Daniel scooted on his rear end all over the edge of the yard! I have no clue why? Maybe he was attempting to make those lovely pink hand-me-down pants of his get dirty or something?
Megan also tried making a snow angel on top of some soil bags Steen has in the backyard. Yes, my children are a bit crazy sometimes!

Update!!

My Mom snatched Megan away for a few days last week because I have been so busy lately. Daniel had lots of fun being an only child! He helped me sweep the floors and do other chores - he also loved playing with all of his toys without the interruption of Megan destroying his creations!
Daniel with his car garage and animals - his favorite!
Megan was also able to help Grandma and Grandpa Billett cut down a Christmas tree last weekend at a tree farm that is just down the road from us. She had a great time helping them pick out the perfect tree.

Megan just looked so cute before church last Sunday that I had to take her pic!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

So we have been busy around here the last few weeks! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my parents house. All the boys of course played football the morning of Thanksgiving and had a great time. They came home all muddy and cold, but said it was worth it! Now that Thanksgiving is over we are in Christmas mode around here. This week we put up our tree, house lights and the rest of the holiday decorations. It's looking like Christmas around here and we love it!

Megan had a great time helping Steen put up the lights on the house!
This is what Megan and Daniel call decorating the tree...apparently they thought the ornaments went all in one spot. When they went to bed, Steen and I had to do some rearranging.
More decorating!
Daniel putting up his very first ornament with the help of Daddy of course.

It's Party Time!

Yesterday was Steen's birthday and we had a great day. Our party in the evening was lots of fun and the dessert bar was delicious. Thanks everyone for coming!

Daniel made a big mess of himself with some frosting filled cupcakes Steen's Mom brought!

Steen got lots of manly things for his birthday. Here is his new shop vac. He also got a sweet new power drill set.
Here's another one of his manly gifts. He now has his very own Ken doll. Megan gave it to him and they are both very excited to play house tonight while I am at a church meeting!HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEEN. We love you lots!

Latest baby skin care trend...

Have you tried Yoplait Yogurts new baby moisturizing creme? Daniel has and he has nothing but good things to say about it.
- - - - - -
1. The active cultures in the yogurt get right to work at nourishing and replenishing your dry skin cells.
2. The strawberry scent leaves you smelling fabulous.
3. It's a great way to tell your Mommy that you need to take a bath.
4. What you don't end up using for skin care needs can easily become your breakfast.

Trick-or-Treat!

Last night we had a great time Trick-or-Treating and handing out candy at our house! It was a very rainy morning, but thank goodness the clouds parted by the afternoon and it turned out to be a dry evening. The kids were waiting all day to put there costumes on. When we finally got them all dressed up they ran outside and were ready to start knocking on doors! We had lots of fun having Steen's Mom and brother over and all the neighbors thought the kids looked adorable.

150th Post - Happy Birthday Dad!

I feel like I should be doing some fun Halloween post give-a-away since this is my 150th post. Maybe for 200...
But this post is for my Dad! Today is his birthday! When he as born my Grandma asked if he was a goblin or a witch! We had a fun dinner and party for him last night.

Pumpkin Carving Fun!

Last night we carved pumpkins and had lots of fun doing it! This year we grew all but one pumpkin in either our garden or my parents garden. It was fun to watch them grow all summer and especially fun to carve them up last night!

I got out our drill and made a polka-dot pumpkin. Daniel was my big helper!
The whole fam. Look at all those pumpkin guts!

I'm Back...(hopefully)

It's been a long long long last one month. This pregnant Momma has been sicker than sick. But after a much needed trip to the emergency room a few days ago and some much appreciated nausea medicine I am beginning to feel better each day. I actually left the house yesterday for a little while! Megan wanted to do some leaf and rock collecting so we went to a near by park area and had some fun together as a family. The trees are full of color and it is beautiful around here!
- - - - - - -
Daniel loved running through the crunching leaves!
My two crazy redheads...cheesy smiles and all!
We will be carving pumpkins on Monday and the kids are very excited to dress up for Halloween on Friday. Stay tuned for more (hopefully) frequent updates from The Jensens!

ABC's & ......!!

I've been teaching Megan how to write her ABC's over the last few weeks. She loves practicing her new skills and today she kept writing "JEHM" over and over saying that is what she wants to name her new brother or sister. And yes, I figured it's about time to make my announcement.
I AM PREGNANT!
Number three will join the fam in May. My due date is May 7th. I guess we just like to have spring babies around here! Steen and I are very excited as is Megan. Daniel doesn't know what's coming!

Harvest Time!

On Saturday afternoon Megan and Daddy went out for harvest number two of our squash and gourds. Megan's favorite thing to pick is the small pumpkins. After she picked each one she would put it in a line and eventually she made a smiley face. She now calls herself "Farmer girl Megan" - she is too silly!

This week...

This week has been a nice and relaxing week at the Jensen house. The big craft day that I was in charge of on Saturday (Super Saturday) is now over and I am happy to say that it went well and that we all had a lot of fun. Steen is glad to have me back and not always on the phone or running around organizing the event! This week we have just been taking it easy and getting ready for the fall season that is suddenly upon us. Last week it was summer like weather and this week it feels like fall. I love decorating for the upcoming seasons! And this week the TV has been on just about every night. Between Heros, Ugly Betty, Survivor, Chuck, and some others - we are now a slave to the TV each night. Thank goodness for our DVR. Anyways, here are a few pics from around The Jensen house this week:

Daddy and the kids hanging out on the couch while I was making dinner on Monday. It was so cute that I had to take a pic of all of them.
Megan and I made zucchini bread and that huge thing is what we started with!
This is what Daniel looks like after being a cookie monster with a warm chocolate chip cookie. On the 24th Daniel hit 18 months. Watch out church nursery!
On Tuesday I was in the mood to sew - this is what I made. A Halloween themed table runner. I now want to make one for all the different seasons/holidays.
I hope you all are having a good week!

Ready...Set...Bake!

Last week I made the little missy this apron out of this way cute Robert Kaufman fabric. It's from his "Sweet Tooth" line and it is so cute. She really loves wearing it in the kitchen. I'm thinking about making myself a matching one! Now we just need to get baking some yummy treats!
