Hiking the Wildlife Refuge

Yesterday morning we went on a little hike at the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge with Steen's brother Dana and his wife Ruth who are visiting from Utah. Along the way we had a great time checking out the cedar long house and catching bugs. We also got attacked by mosquitoes in the forest and now have lots of itchy bites to prove it!

Daniel wore his "bug hunting" hat and had fun hunting for bugs and sticks with Uncle Dana.
Here is Dana getting a really pretty dragonfly out of his bug net to show to the kids.
Here is Dana showing the kids the dragonfly. Megan was fascinated by its wings and Daniel thought it was pretty cool.

One Month Old

On Monday the 22nd Natalie turned one month old! I can't believe how fast that went by. She is such an easy going and sweet little one. We love her so much!

Last week...

This past week has been a busy one for our family! We were over at my parents just about everyday helping them get ready to go. We loved spending every second we could with them. Here's a little bit of what we were up too....
- - - - - - -
We ate a few meals on the floor at my parents house towards the last half of the week because all of the furniture had been moved into storage. The kids had lots of fun having "picnics" with Nana.
The kids had fun picking up pine cones for Grandpa Billett at a party we were at on Saturday. I think Grandpa just found himself some cheap yard labor!

We all went up and visited Grandma Nancy Jensen's brand new gravestone on Saturday. It turned out so nice!

This is our last picture of Nana with Megan and Natalie.
So sweet - we love you Nana!
Happy Fathers Day to Steen.
WE LOVE YOU DADDY!
We made Steen take all the missionaries to the airport.
Farewell Tanner, Nana, & Opa.

Jensen Farewell Party

Tommy and Katie had the Jensen clan over for a send-off for the soon to be missionaries - Opa & Nana and Tanner. We had lots of fun together and ate lots of yummy desserts!

For those of you who don't know my parents and my brother Tanner all leave for Utah this Sunday and will be reporting to the MTC (Missionary Training Center) on Wednesday. My parents will be serving as the mission president of the Baguio, Philippines mission for the next three years and my brother Tanner will be serving as a missionary in the Pocatello, Idaho mission for the next two years. We are very proud of our soon to be Jensen missionaries! So if I am a little (or a lot) emotional during these next few weeks - now you know why!

Day trip to Mossyrock

This past week my grandparents went camping up at one of our favorite spots - Riffe Lake. On Monday a few of us decided to go up for the day to spend one last time up there with my Mom and Dad before they leave on there mission. Unfortunately my Dad wasn't able to come. We had lots of fun as you can see from all the pics below.
- - - - - -
Megan went fishing with Grandpa Billett. She (thankfully) caught a "HUGE" one and was so proud of herself.
Daniel loved playing with the rocks and sticks especially throwing them into the lake.
Grandma Billett and all the women loved taking turns holding Natalie. We think Natalie is born to be a little camper! She did great.
My Mom took this pic of Megan poking her head out the camper door.
Steen, the 2002 Ricks College horseshoe intramural champion was challenged to a game of horseshoes and guess what....he got spanked! But he still had fun.
Nana and the kids had lots of fun picking up pine cones and watching them explode in the fire pit!
Daniel had a great time running around and playing in the dirt the entire day.
No camping trip is complete without a round of s'mores. Here's Katie all ready to eat hers up!

We had a great day trip at the lake and are glad that we were able to go up and spend it with some of our very favorite people!

Natalie's Blessing Day!

On Sunday, June 7th we blessed Natalie at church! We had such a wonderful day spending time together with family in honor of our sweet little Natalie!

Natalie looked like a little angel in her blessing dress.
After church we had everyone over for lunch and of course lots of picture taking!

As Easy as PIE!

So yesterday afternoon we decided to make some yummy strawberry rhubarb pie. The kids of course wanted to help every step of the way! We had lots of fun making it and we especially loved eating it!

Daniel loved rolling and re-rolling his little piece of pie dough.
My two little pie makers.
The finished product. It sure turned out great!
